I know my family. So I’m going to tell you how eventful the past year has been starting at the beginning of last summer. I’m not going to hold back on you. I’m going to give you the truth. The truth is, my family is CRACKED UP. And when I say cracked up, I mean cracked up.
What started off as a simple summer writing assignment turned into an account of the crazy antics that ensued within the Philips’ household. Thirteen-year-old Indie promises the honest truth when describing what goes down during a life-changing year with her family. Beneath all the fights, tears, and accidental fires, always narrated with just a tinge of sarcasm, Indie struggles to define the meaning of family and to find a place among her own cracked-up version.
