During spring 2006, fourteen poets participated in a workshop led by poet Cara Benson and hosted by the New York State Writers Institute at SUNY Albany. Ever since, the workshop participants have been meeting once a month at Professor Java’s Coffee Sanctuary on Wolf Road, gently critiquing each other's poems and supporting each other with good cheer. Java Wednesdays is the fruit of their poetic endeavors. They are happy to have Cara Benson back to join them in this collection.
