Lacey O’Dunn has sworn off living life in the fast lane, including a relationship with the devil himself, Vinnie Santora, a resident drug king. It’s been a long road battling an addiction Vinnie introduced her to. One that alienated Lacey from a loving family, and caused Lacey to have a brutal awakening when she awoke one day in the mental ward of a local hospital shaking and sweating from withdrawal.
As a recruit in the Troy Police Force under the direction of Chief of Police, Tadhg Ringwood, Lacey welcomes her new lease on life. But her fierce passion soon becomes a personal challenge when she is instructed not to interfere with ‘Chief’s’ investigation into a rash of car bashers who bump elderly drivers off black ice roads in winter.
Matters deteriorate when her gritty grandmother’s rosary posse takes the law in their own hands to outwit the car basher’s. It is Lacey’s strong will that surfaces when her past and present collide upsetting the balance of what is expected of her in the line of duty to become a police officer and lastly, an epiphany as to what her future holds.
