Bob Elmendorf has been published in 51 magazines. He has read at the Spencertown Academy and at the Chatham Bookstore. He was in four poetry workshops for 22 years. He taught Vergil, Catullus, Ovid and Horace, Homeric Greek and New Testament Greek pro bono to home school teens and adults for last 12 years in Chatham, NY and previously adults at the Newman Center and SUNY Plattsburgh, also pro bono.  He resides in Malden Bridge, NY. His poems are a mixture of formal and informal verse, with several sonnets that lyrically describe his childhood, open a new door to the natural world, portray relationships and explore the subconscious. The language is metaphorical, with a careful ear to the union of sound and meaning. Most of these were written in the last two years.
