A girl and her kitten Raggedy have a wonderful life until the horror of Hurricane Katrina’s flooding separates them. His people and home gone, Raggedy must quickly learn to live on his wits to survive in the strange and scary world left when the water recedes. What will happen now to this determined, courageous, lonely kitten?
In 2005, the author was one of dozens of volunteers at HSLA’s Camp Katrina caring for hundreds of animals rescued from the devastation in New Orleans.
