It was 1950 in the small town of Robindale, Texas. Seven-year-old Luke and his family were living a blissfully normal life when the unthinkable happened. The tragic and contagious Polio disease that spread like wildfire across the country would soon hit very close to home for the Connor family. What started as flu-like symptoms turned into something much worse and soon Luke’s very life hung in the balance.
Over sixty years later, Luke relives his childhood and that tumultuous time when his childhood was forever changed.

TIM O’LEARY grew up in a small Texas community for most of his life. After graduating from college, Tim worked for three different publishers as a sales representative, sales manager and publisher. His time in publishing lasted for forty years and during that time he moved with his family to upstate New York. With the support of his loving family, Tim was finally able to make his dream of publishing his book a reality.
