Barbara Leavell Smith lives on an old farm in East Poestenkill, New York. The two other homes of her soul are France and Cranberry Lake in the Adirondacks. She has run a boat shop, been a French teacher, an actor and director in theater, but, underneath, poetry has been her life-long calling. It has been her instrument to resolve too much pain, too much joy, to discover the second life of things, for herself and for you.
